New Holland In St. Petersburg By Firm WORKac

The winner of the tender to select the project for the island of New Holland in St. Petersburg was the architectural firm WORKac (New York). WORKac working on a new Master Plan for the area of BAM in Brooklyn, the office of the designer Diane von Furstenberg in Manhattan. The main projects the architects of today are the museum in Houston, Blaffer, Art Institute named after Sterling and Francine Clark Mass MoCa and the new Children's Museum of Art in New York.



New Holland is an island, founded by Peter I, surrounded by two canals and the river Moika. This island was the first Russian naval port in 1721. WORKac proposed to break this public park that will serve as an amphitheater for concerts and venue. Existing facilities on the island offer architects turned into several functional areas: art, design, education and commerce.
