This project was created by Nicholas Dorvelom in collaboration with Emilio MarĂn to participate in the competition the company Xella. At the heart of development - the use of cellular concrete blocks, facilitating the most effective conservation of the natural heat inside the room. Work on the project Snow House, designers sought to create a winter villa provides a comfortable rest and at the same time, concern for the environment.

As a means of heating in the concept were applied geothermal heat pump and solar accumulating wall, also known as a wall thrombus, using the natural heat of the earth, and the principle of the greenhouse effect to warm the cold air that enters the Snow House from the outside. Thus, inside a long time maintained a stable temperature.

The dark outer layer of roughcast better absorbs the sun's heat, and prevents the accumulation of snow on the roof. In addition, the rational use of heat and contribute to the optimal distribution of a low base, and the organization of internal space construction.
